The Kingsport School of the Bible is an education program which helps believers to expand their understanding of the Bible and to be prepared for ministry in the local church. The school is designed for lay people and lay workers in the church. This includes deacons, Sunday School teachers, youth and children’s workers, Bible study leaders, and many others who simply desire to deepen their Bible knowledge and enhance their ability to serve the Lord.

Students
Enrollment is open to men and women who have a sincere desire to know more of God’s Word. No academic prerequisites are in effect. Students come from all types of backgrounds and professions. Enrollment is open to adults of all ages and also to high school Juniors and Seniors.
Graduation
Complete all twelve courses and earn a Biblical Studies Certificate! Graduates of the Kingsport School of the Bible may participate in the commencement exercises of Crown College.
Cost
Classes are affordably priced at $15 per class or $45 for all three classes offered each semester. This cost includes a beautifully prepared Student Notebook for each course. An additional one-time fee is due when students participate in the commencement exercises after completing all twelve classes. If you prepay for all 12 courses at one time, the cost will be reduced to $10 per class or $120 for the entire course.
Fall Semester 2022
Classes will start at 6:30pm and will end around 8:50. Each Semester will consist of three classes with the first Semester starting in September 22, 2022.
Fall Semester Schedule
6:30 – 7:10 pm – Methods of Bible Study
Helpful methods to assist believers in personal Bible study. Students learn principles of biblical interpretation to guide them in understanding different passages of Scripture such as narratives, psalms, proverbs, parables, and prophecy. Students also learn how to use Bible study tools to help them in their study of individual books, chapters, verses, and words.
7:15 – 7:55 pm – Survey of the Old Testament II
A survey of the Books of Poetry (Job through the Song of Solomon), the Major Prophets (Isaiah through Daniel), and the Minor Prophets (Hosea through Malachi) of the Old Testament. The main theme of each book is highlighted along with other significant features including key words, key verses, and pictures of Christ.
8:00 – 8:40 pm – Basic Bible Doctrine II
Clear Bible teaching in the subjects of anthropology (the study of man), hamartiology (the study of sin), soteriology (the study of salvation), ecclesiology (the study of the church), and eschatology (the study of end times). Bible answers are given to commonly asked questions concerning the Christian faith.
